Sculpture is my primary medium of artistic expression. I capture and transform overlooked visual experiences from urban life, recomposing them under the spotlight in gallery spaces to create new dialogues with the audience. My inspiration comes from the hustle and the intricate surroundings of the city living situation. I see these elements as a nostalgic documentation of reality and a critical reflection in an accelerative virtual era.
I focus on the sculptural potentials of everyday items, such as metal barricades, rearview mirrors, or fire hydrants on the lawn, thus making found objects an important source of my creation. By blending traditional sculptural techniques like molding, woodworking, and metalworking with contemporary practices such as appropriation and modification of industrial products, I strive to achieve a refined modern aesthetic. My works consistently explore themes of our relationship with the urban environment, emphasizing the subtle power dynamics inherent in these spaces. In doing so, I invite viewers to reconsider their interaction with the city and the nuanced changes that occur within it.
